Dr. Gordon Ku, MB, BS, DCH, FAMS, FRCP, FACP

Chairman

Dr. Ku is the founder and Chairman of Kidney Dialysis foundation. He is also a consultant nephrologist at Mt Elizabeth Medical Centre.He worked in Royal Free Hospital and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital in London. He also taught at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Singapore from 1973 ~ 1978. He served in the National Committee on Renal Care since 1999.

A/Prof. Neo Kok Beng, MBA, B.Eng, FIES, STIP

Director

Mr. Neo has experiences in building up entrepreneurial ventures from concept to commercialization. He specialized in new products and new business; and has setup companies in the areas of information security, telematics, portable digital/computing devices and biomedical systems & services. Kok Beng worked for Singapore Technologies in the corporate HQ (investment & entrepreneurship programme), aerospace, information technology and electronics sectors. He graduated with MBA(NTU) and B.Eng (Hons)(NUS); and was awarded an IES Fellowship at JFK School of Government, Harvard University. He is currently an adjunct associate professor at the National University of Singapore  and has also a Fellow/Council Member & Hon Treasurer of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore.

Dr. Gloria K F Loke   MB,BS, DCH, FRCP, FAMS.

Director

Dr Loke is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Physician  at  Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. She has worked   in the Royal Free Hospital ,  and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital, London. Her major interest is in the management of patients with diabetes mellitus, especially  those on renal dialysis.

Mr. Chua Thiam Joo, CFA, B.Eng (Hons.)

Director

Mr. Chua is a co-founder of Accion Capital, a private equity fund. Prior to founding Accion, Mr. Chua was a Senior Vice President at GK Goh Strategic Holdings Pte Ltd, part of a prominent private family office in Singapore. Mr. Chua was formerly an Executive Director on the Board of PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk, one of the largest integrated power company listed on IDX. Prior to that, he was a member of the management of PT Kideco Jaya Agung (3rd largest coal mine in Indonesia) and Vice President (Corporate Finance) in Indika Group. Mr. Chua has served as Singapore Economic Development Board’s Jakarta Centre Director as well as First Secretary (Industry) at the Singapore Embassy in Indonesia. Mr. Chua has a B.Eng(Hons) from NUS and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Mrs. Lay-Tan Siok Lie

Director

Mrs Lay-Tan Siok Lie joined the Temasek Polytechnic in 1991 and was responsible for building up its School of Engineering.  She was appointed the Director of the Engineering School in 1997.  Under her leadership, the School has grown to become one of the leading providers of tertiary engineering education in Singapore.  In 2008, she was appointed Deputy Principal and director of Temasek Polytechnic.  In 2012, the School offers 15 full-time engineering diploma courses with student enrolment of 5,500 and staff strength of 400.  Before joining Temasek Polytechnic, Mrs Lay-Tan was with the Texas Instrument (S) Pte Ltd, and the Singapore Polytechnic.

Mrs. Jill M. Schaaf

Director

Jill M. Schaaf is president of Baxter's renal business. In this role, she leads Baxter's global commercial organization serving renal patients and clinicians around the world.  Most recently she was global franchise head for Baxter's chronic renal franchise.

Schaaf joined the company in 2001 and has held several positions of increasing responsibility, all in the renal business. Among them, she has served as vice president of home therapies marketing, vice president of home hemodialysis and general manager of the U.S. renal business. Prior to joining Baxter, she served in a variety of global and US marketing roles at Searle.

She currently serves on the steering committee for Baxter's African American Leadership Council and is the executive sponsor of Baxter Women Leaders, business resource groups for employees that provide forums for developing skills, experiencing valuable cultural connections and supporting key business initiatives. 

Schaaf is the chair of BAXPAC, Baxter's political action committee. She is also on the board of directors for the American Red Cross Greater Chicago.

She earned her master's degree in business administration from Washington University and has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
