The AWAK Singapore team had our annual health check-up at the office this week!

As part of the screening by SATA COMMHEALTH, key body vitals (blood pressure, BMI, visual vitals) were checked, and routine laboratory tests were done.

We at AWAK practice what we preach and going for annual health screening is important because it aids in the early detection of diseases, allowing for timely intervention to achieve good health and a higher quality of life.

For example, in the United States, over 20% of individuals with hypertension have increased albuminuria (urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio [UACR] ≥ 30 mg/g), yet only 7% of those with hypertension are tested for albuminuria, representing potentially millions of patients with undiagnosed chronic kidney disease. With routine health screening, these gaps can be filled.
