Studies have found that CKD causes the cardiovascular system to undergo accelerated ageing putting patients at higher risk for fatal complications such as stroke, heart failure and more.

To prevent this, CKD patients should adhere to their timely check-ups and lead a healthy lifestyle to lower their risks of developing cardiovascular diseases.
